Mark Master Masons of Dyfed have donated £1,000 to Ty Bryngwyn Llanelli Hospice, a provider of specialist palliative care for the community of Carmarthenshire.
The donation from the Mark Benevolent Fund is part of a major £1.3m grant to more than 250 hospices in England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man made in recognition of the contribution made by HRH The Prince Philip to the service of the Crown and the life of the nation.
Dyfed Mark Provincial Grand Master Gary Hicks, Deputy Provincial Grand Master Martin Lowe and representatives of Ty Bryngwyn travelled to a meeting of Lliedi Mark Lodge in Llanelli for a cheque presentation ceremony on 25 October 2021.
“We are absolutely delighted that the members of the Province have chosen to support Ty Bryngwyn Hospice,” said the Provincial Grand Master.
“We are all aware of the toll that the pandemic has taken on charities across the country and hope that this small gift will go some way to help enhance patient care and provide improved facilities for those in need and their families.”
Ty Bryngwyn trustee David Craddock welcomed the donation, saying that this gift will be used wisely and well for the sole benefit of Ty Bryngwyn Hospice. He added how grateful the charity is for the support received from the Masons over many years.
